Back to Work

Somehow my quilting project escalated, growing with each discovery of squares from 2 quilts to 8! I am glad I did all the tops before I put them together. Had I done them one at a time, finishing each as I went along, I am sure I would have stopped half way through. But luckily it was rather like an assembly line, and last week I put them together, then tied them, then pinned and stitched the edges. I finished the last one Sunday night!

So, now I can focus on something else! Putting my machine away, removing the scraps and quilt frames from the living room, I can get back to work.

Tuesday morning I cleared the guest bedroom, and today I am going to set up the bed and get that room ready for Richard's visit. (Countdown= 14 days)

The next work project will be shampooing the living room carpet! I've been waiting since April to tackle it..waiting for it to be warm enough outside for the carpet to dry. It's supposed to be in the low 100s today--that should do it. I think I'll put on Burn Notice. Michael and Sam and Fiona can keep me company while I work!
